Michelle Butkus - 9th Grade Coach

Michelle Butkus is a native of Medford, Wisconsin a small town that is home of Tombstone pizza! While in high school she was involved in many activities, including: Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, National Honor Society, Band, Key Club and Intramurals.

She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire where she majored in Physical Education and minored in Adaptive Physical Education. In 2008 she captained her softball team to an NCAA National Championship title in 2008.

Currently, Michelle teaches Physical Education at BHS, Fall Strength and Conditioning Coach, 9th grade Girls’ Basketball Coach and Head Softball Coach. Her experience in coaching is also extensive and something that she has been involved in since 2008.

Being a Middle School Basketball Coach, High School Volleyball Coach and Head High School Softball Coach in Wisconsin, an Assistant at Blaine as well as a coach at the collegiate level, she has had the opportunity to learn and grow with and alongside many successful coaches. Her experience and passion for the game makes her eager to share her knowledge about the game with up and coming Blaine Bengals players.

When she is not devoting her time to teaching and coaching others, you can find Michelle hanging with her partner, Amanda, dogs Leine and Thompson, at the Crossfit gym or cruising on the lake.
