Girls High School Summer Basketball Workouts

Summer Basketball Workouts:
Registration for summer basketball sessions is closed but we're keeping the information here for registered players and their parents.

Dates & times are as follows:

Sessions (12:00 pm - 1:30 pm)
July 7 (Tues.), July 9 (Thurs.)
July 14 (Tues.), July 16 (Thurs.)
July 21 (Tues.), July 23 (Thurs.)
July 28 (Tues.), July 30 (Thurs.)
Aug 4 (Tues.), Aug 6 (Thurs.)

Open gym sessions will be held on the same dates above from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.

All workout sessions and open gyms are held at BHS Fieldhouse.

All athletes must park in the North lot and walk down Bengal Alley to the South Cafeteria door. That is our only entrance and exit we can use. Again, we need to limit people in the building so only coaches and athletes are allowed inside the building. If you have any questions, please direct them to

COVID-19 Guidelines

  • There will be 10 players allowed per court.
  • Social distancing as much as possible will still take place. 
  • All players must have their own ball and own water bottle. 
  • No locker room will be available.
  • The upstairs bathroom by the trophy cases will be open for girls to use one at a time.
  • Water bottles are also a must for each individual. 
  • Use of the drinking fountain manually will be prohibited. 
  • No parents, friends, significant others, non-girls basketball players can be present on site (only players and alumni). 
  • Basketballs can be given out and numbered for individual players if they need them, otherwise everyone must bring their own. 
  • Open gym sessions limited to current players and alumni.
  • Everyone must be out of the building by 8:00 pm after open gym sessions. 

If players do not feel well we ask that they PLEASE DO NOT attend!

2020 Virtual Banquet Recording

How prophetic this season's motto turned out to be! We couldn't be more proud of the players -  top to bottom, and we thank ALL of our families for the tremendous support over this past season and beyond! Sadly, given the events this spring we had to hold our end of year banquet "virtually." Here is the recording of it for your enjoyment:

Blaine High School's Athena Award Winner

The Athena Award recognizes the achievements of young female athletes from public and private high schools in the greater Minneapolis area.

Madison is a three sport athlete, and three sport Captain at BHS. She competes in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. She is the two time reigning State Champion in High Jump, as well as the state all-time record holder in High Jump with a 6'0" mark. She will attend Notre Dame next year where she will continue her track career for the Irish!

Congratulations Madison! GO BENGALS!
